Why INTUNIV?

It can be challenging to familiarize yourself with the number of ADHD medications available. With so many options, what makes one different from another? Your doctor knows, but as a parent you want to have the facts as well. Read on to learn about the features of INTUNIV and why it may be right for your child.

INTUNIV may improve symptoms of ADHD

INTUNIV was tested in clinical studies. INTUNIV was shown to significantly improve symptoms of ADHD when taken once daily. INTUNIV is approved for the treatment of ADHD in kids 6 to 17.

The most common side effects of INTUNIV include sleepiness, tiredness, trouble sleeping, low blood pressure, nausea, stomach pain, and dizziness.

INTUNIV can be taken alone or with a stimulant for ADHD.

For some children, stimulants alone may not adequately manage ADHD symptoms. If prescribed by the doctor, INTUNIV may be added to your child's current stimulant medication for ADHD. In a study of children with ADHD who were taking a stimulant and still had ADHD symptoms, their symptoms improved when INTUNIV was added.

INTUNIV is a nonstimulant medication

Unlike many other ADHD medications, INTUNIV is not a controlled substance. It also has no known potential for abuse or dependence and it can be refilled—over the phone, at the pharmacy, or through mail order.

INTUNIV should be used as part of a total treatment plan for ADHD, which may include individual or family counseling, skills training, or other therapies.
